Creative Operations Manager
Sarah Coleman-Craig
Indebted to the creative communities that helped her live through her own tumultuous adolescence, Sarah Coleman-Craig has committed herself to providing life transforming experiences that allow teenagers to replace frustration and despair with inspiration, humor, creativity and possibility. As the bookkeeper for Warehouse 21 she seeks to align the mission of the organization, empowerment through the arts, with financial growth and programmatic expansion. She brings her experience as a former pastry chef and manager to the task of entrepreneurial development and sustainable business practices.
Currently Sarah is pursuing her BA through the University of New Mexico, majoring in both Linguistics and Philosophy. She is fascinated by the role of language in cognitive and emotional growth, particularly as a navigational tool for today's youth who are faced with social and political pressures of increasing complexity. She believes that through the opportunity to explore and experiment, youth can generate new conversations capable of exorcising both internal and external demons and sees artistic expression as an appropriate medium for this practice.
Sarah's artistic background lies in the realm of fabric arts. She studied Surface Design at Penland School of Crafts and for many years has made shrines that incorporate found objects, fabric, old photographs, feathers, beadwork, shells and other architectural elements. scolemancraig@gmail.com
